To the President of the United States and Members of Congress:
We, the undersigned, call on you to prioritize and pass legislation establishing comprehensive, national paid family leave. This is not a partisan issue—it is an American issue. Polls consistently show that paid family leave enjoys overwhelming support across the political spectrum, with 83% of Democrats, 71% of Republicans, and 75% of Independents in favor of ensuring workers have the time they need to care for their families without financial ruin. This remarkable consensus reflects the shared values of compassion, responsibility, and fairness that unite us as a nation.
The economic case for paid family leave is equally compelling. Studies show that paid leave improves employee retention, reduces turnover costs, and boosts productivity. For businesses, this means less money spent on rehiring and training, and more on innovation and growth. For families, it means the ability to care for a newborn, an aging parent, or a loved one facing illness without sacrificing their financial stability.
Paid family leave is also a driver of economic growth. In countries with robust paid leave policies, labor force participation—especially among women—is significantly higher. If the U.S. adopted a comprehensive paid leave program, it could add an estimated $500 billion annually to the GDP by enabling more parents to remain in the workforce. Furthermore, paid leave reduces dependence on public assistance programs, saving taxpayers billions of dollars annually. It is an investment in the future of our workforce and the well-being of every American family.
But beyond the statistics, there is a moral imperative. Families are the backbone of our society, yet too many Americans face impossible choices between their paychecks and their loved ones. A father forced to leave his premature baby in the NICU because he cannot afford unpaid leave. A daughter torn between her job and caring for her mother battling cancer. These are not abstract stories—they are the lived experiences of millions of Americans who deserve better from their leaders.
By passing paid family leave, you have the power to transform lives. You can ensure that parents bond with their newborns during the critical first weeks of life. You can make it possible for workers to care for their loved ones with dignity. You can create a legacy that generations will remember: a government that stood up for families and strengthened the foundation of our nation.
This is your moment to lead. Americans are watching and waiting for action on an issue that has united the country like few others. Those who champion this cause will be hailed as heroes, not just by the families who directly benefit, but by all who believe in the promise of a more just and compassionate society.
We urge you to seize this opportunity to do what is right, what is fair, and what is overwhelmingly supported by the American people. Pass national paid family leave—because no one should have to choose between their job and their family.

America Needs Fair Credit—Pass the 10% Interest Rate Cap NowEvery day, hardworking Americans struggle under the crushing weight of sky-high credit card interest rates, many exceeding 25% or even 30%, while banks continue to rake in record-breaking profits.
This is not just unfair—it’s predatory.
That’s why we, the undersigned, are calling on our members of Congress to support and co-sponsor the bipartisan Sanders-Hawley bill, which would cap credit card interest rates at 10% for five years. This common-sense legislation would provide immediate financial relief to millions of Americans drowning in credit card debt, ensuring that access to credit remains fair and reasonable—not exploitative.
The Problem: Americans Are Being Exploited by Big BanksThe average credit card interest rate is 28.6%—forcing families deeper into unmanageable debt.Total U.S. credit card debt has hit a record $1.17 trillion, with the average household owing over $21,000 in credit card debt. If a consumer carries a $5,000 balance at 28% interest, they could pay nearly $11,000 in interest alone over time. Meanwhile, major banks borrow money from the Federal Reserve at less than 4.5% and generate $130 billion a year in interest and fees. The credit card industry is exploiting families, students, and seniors—driving them deeper into a never-ending cycle of debt while Wall Street executives make millions. This is legalized loan-sharking, and it must end.
The Solution: A Bipartisan Plan to Restore FairnessThe Sanders-Hawley bill is a rare example of bipartisan cooperation in Congress. It would immediately cap credit card interest rates at 10% for five years, giving working families breathing room while ensuring banks still operate profitably and responsibly.
Even President Trump promised to cap credit card interest rates at 10% during his campaign. This is a populist, bipartisan, and overwhelmingly popular solution that Congress has the power to enact right now.
We, the undersigned, demand that our members of the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate:
✅ Publicly support the Sanders-Hawley bill and stand with working Americans against predatory lending.
✅ Co-sponsor the legislation to ensure it gains the momentum needed to pass.
✅ Reject pressure from Wall Street lobbyists who profit from keeping families in debt.
This is not a Democratic or Republican issue—it’s an American issue. People across the political spectrum agree: 25-30% interest rates are nothing more than legalized extortion.
We are watching. We are voting. And we will remember who stood up for the American people when it mattered most.
