Step 1: Register to Vote

Register to vote at the DMV, the library, by mail, or online at registertovoteflorida.gov

If you’ve already registered, make sure your registration is up to date.

It is suggested to review your voter registration status annually.

Step 2: Request a Mail Ballot

Think of requesting a mail ballot as obtaining free voter insurance.

Mail ballots are sent out a month before the election. This allows you time to review, research, and complete your ballot from the comfort of anywhere.

Once completed, follow the instructions to mail it or drop it off at a designated location. You can even track your mail ballot to ensure that it was received.

Receiving a mail ballot does NOT mean you cannot vote in person.

If after receiving your mail ballot you decide that you want to vote in person, either early or on election day, simply go to your polling location and they can cancel that mail ballot and then you can vote in person.
